Our Story.

 

In 2016, friends and business partners Paul Dierickx and Ben Stovall came together to purchase our beautiful estate. The vineyard on the property had been previously devastated by a fire in 2011 and was in need of a new start. With their background in Advanced Technologies Innovation and a passion for wine; an idea sparked, then a vision to revitalize Limestone Terrace. As new stewards of this diamond in the rough, the Stovall and Dierickx families replanted with Mediterranean varietals, a nod to the old while creating something new; a revival of Limestone Terrace Vineyard. The ashes on our label symbolize our journey - fire to rebirth. We are proud to share our 100% Texas grown wine and hope to instill in you a love for high quality wines from this breathtaking area of the Texas Hill Country. We truly believe that wine connects people. To us wine is meant to be shared and bring folks together, making new friends, and cultivating long lasting relationships.

Our wines are grown by integrating old world processes with 21st century technology. We produce white, rosé and red wine. Our whites and rosés age in stainless steel tanks that create wines with complex aromatics while retaining crisp and fresh characteristics. We use limited skin maceration for our rosés to extract unique color and ensure pronounced fragrance and flavors. For the reds, we are developing our own style. We believe in trying to make the best possible wine without altering the integrity of the grape. Learning from the pioneering winemakers and viticulturists past and present here in Texas, we are experimenting with many varieties, highlighting Italian and Spanish grapes proven to flourish in our climate. We source our fruit from all over the state, from the Texas high plains to our own backyard estate. Our aging program is dynamic and always changing, using both new and neutral oak. Each vintage is a new story for us to tell. We are so pleased and excited to show you what we have created, some truly great Texas wine!
